Submit workshop/session proposals

PROPOSALS DUE March 10, 2014

We are soliciting hands-on workshops, traditional presentations, panel discussions, and mini-presentations related to the following topics:  

  • Curriculum and robot building/learning systems - covering robotics and related disciplines including electricity, mechanics, programming, computers, etc...

  • Emerging robotics devices and opportunities such as drones, 3D printers, Maker groups, FabLabs, and hackerspaces

  • Topics of interest specific to: FIRST Robotics Competition, FIRST Tech Challenge, FIRST Lego League, and Jr. FLL mentors, coaches and team leaders

  • Competition and expanded opportunities for youth; national programs and locally developed opportunities such as ROBOFEST, BEST, VEX, BOTBALL

  • Establishing and managing 4-H or other robotics groups and community programs

  • Recruiting and training robotics volunteers

  • Youth development principles for working with youth robotics groups

  • Funding robotics programs and developing community partnerships

  • Research related to youth in robotics programs to further engage in science and technology learning

 

The format and program for the 2014 conference will be similar to the 2012 conference.
