COLUMBIA, Mo. — More than 800 of Missouri's farmers, ranchers and agribusiness leaders gathered at the Lake of the Ozarks Dec. 14-16, 2016, for the 47th Annual Governor's Conference on Agriculture, hosted by the Missouri Department of Agriculture. The three-day event featured a Thursday evening benefit auction and BBQ, sponsored by FCS Financial, which raised more than $16,000 for youth and young professionals in agriculture including Missouri 4-H, Missouri FFA and Agriculture Leadership of Tomorrow (ALOT).
The top selling items for Missouri 4-H included a 1971 NRA commemorative Winchester 94 .30/30 lever action rifle, donated by Tom and Sandy Henderson, and a Missouri Wine Country Getaway at White Mule Winery and Bed & Breakfast, donated by Charlie and Karen Schlottach. In total, live and silent auction items raised $5,655 for Missouri 4-H.

Gustin Golf Course, AgriMissouri, Bergfield Brothers, Cabela’s, Cathy Ergovich, FCS Financial, Patty Hudnut, Les Bourgeois Vineyards, Missouri Ducks Unlimited, Missouri Life Media, Missouri Wine and Grape Board, One Canoe Two, Carolyn Schomaker, Barbara Soehnlen, Stoney Creek Inn, Sydenstricker Implement Co., The Mizzou Store, Dr. Marla Tobin, University Concert Series and VisiGt KC.
