COLUMBIA, Mo. — Jensen Mayes of Lathrop, Mo., a member of the Lathrop Shamrock 4-H Club in Clinton County, was recently selected as a young professional board member to States’ 4-H International Exchange Programs (States’ 4-H), a not-for-profit educational and cultural organization.

The States’ 4-H mission is to enhance world understanding and global citizenship through high quality 4-H international cultural immersion and exchange programs for 4-H aged youth. The selection committee was impressed with Mayes’ extensive involvement with 4-H, his background, skills, leadership qualities and his experience as a States’ 4-H Outbound delegate to Norway in 2016.

The States’ 4-H International board is comprised of 4-H professionals from across the U.S. The board has included youth members since 2007, recognizing the value of youth voices, and to promote youth-adult partnerships in leadership positions in order to strengthen organizations and communities.
