Recognition & Leadership
The Missouri 4-H Foundation recognizes the work of 4-H friends and volunteers, through annual recognition and awards programs.
Missouri Hall of Fame

Missouri 4-H and the Missouri 4-H Foundation recognize individuals who have created a legacy of service and dedication to 4-H, by honoring them with membership in the Missouri 4-H Hall of Fame. On average, 4-H Hall of Fame members have devoted 25 years of service to 4-H; in 2009, Hall of Fame inductees together logged more than 1,500 years of volunteer work!
The induction ceremony is held annually at the Missouri State Fair. Each inductee (or their surviving family members, if the award is given posthumously) is recognized and presented with a plaque. Fellow club members, families and friends of the inductees are invited to attend the ceremony and reception.
Nomination Process
Counties nominate inductees for their exceptional legacy of contributing to the lives of Missouri 4-H members and the overall 4-H program. Because some outstanding 4-H advocates have supported 4-H in more than one county, or have worked with state programs, the Missouri 4-H Foundation may also nominate an at-large inductee.
Nominations are due to the Missouri 4-H Foundation no later than March 15, 2010. One inductee will be selected per county. Inductees or their surviving family members will receive a letter of invitation on behalf of the Missouri 4-H Foundation in early July. The Missouri State Fair Office, partnering with the Missouri 4-H Foundation, provides a fair ticket for each inductee.
