Youth Leadership & Communication

As the State 4-H Council says, "4-H is fun, with a purpose of accomplishment!"  The skills you get from leadership experiences are critical to your success.

Profile in Communication
On February 15-17, a group of military and civilian youth gathered at Fort Leonard Wood's Lake of the Ozarks Recreation Area (LORA) to learn the art of videography.  This Operation: Military Kids event was packed with creativity, learning and fun.  With these new skills the youth participants can communicate their messages by creating public service announcements, commercials, and more.

The weekend's project was a PSA that focused on support for military youth and their link to 4-H.  The Army and 4-H have been partners since 1995, and 4-H clubs are found on every installation with a Child & Youth Services program around the world.  Click here to visit Fort Leonard Wood's Child & Youth Services program, and here to learn more about Operation: Military Kids.
