4 Habitat II:  2008-2009

In this exciting project, 4-H'ers "adopted" a family who purchased a Habitat home and worked as part of a design team!  Youth teams had the unique experience of working directly with the family to furnish and landscape their new home, located in Columbia, MO.  Learning opportunities focused primarily on the interior design process and improving energy efficiency through both interior finishes and landscaping.  Additional teams provided other components such as sewing, art projects, cooking, and a website to track the progress of the project.

This design team was coordinated and supported by Missouri 4-H, University of Missouri Architectural Studies Extension and Show-Me Central Habitat for Humanity.  For additional information on this project contact Alison Copeland.
