Horse Hippology Contest
Hippology… Greek meaning the study of horse.  100 4-H youth from all parts of Missouri came loaded with enthusiasm and their knowledge of horses to compete at our state contest held April 20.

No pre-qualification was required but teams had to pre-register as teams in either the senior division (age 14 – 18) or junior division (age 8 – 13).  The contest consisted of 4 parts including a knowledge test with 50 questions; 10 stations that required matching correct terms with pictures; two video judging classes and a problem that required the team to present a solution to a panel of judges.

The top senior team will represent Missouri 4-H at the Eastern National 4-H Hippology Contest in Louisville, KY in November 2008.
