Community Mapping
is a process involving youth, citizens, community professionals, and community decision-makers working together to learn and use geospatial tools and data to address community and environmental issues.

The Community Mapping process can be used for a wide range of topics and issues.  This conference will focus on four comprehensive, model projects.

 

  • Healthy Communities- Mapping Recreational Resources

  • Mapping to Promote Agro-tourism

Who should attend the conference?

Anyone interested in helping citizens use advanced geospatial tools to address community issues. Conference participants will form teams to conduct regional trainings and local projects

Cost per person $125

Registration includes training materials and lunches all three days. Lodging, travel and other meals are not covered in the registration fee. 

MU Extension Faculty- This conference is a funded in-service education program.  Contact your regional director about attending.
