Residential fee
Includes housing (two youth per dorm room), all meals and snacks and great daytime and evening activities on and around campus. Commuter camp fees include daytime activities, lunch and snacks. Camps are open to all. Space is limited and camps will fill on a first-come, first served basis. We reserve the right to cancel camp and refund fees as necessary.

A health form must be submitted prior to camp.

Refund policy
Refund minus $20 processing fee up to May 7 (substitutions may be allowed)

Scholarships
Fill out the application and return it with your registration and full payment.  If you are a recipient, the scholarship amount will be refunded to you.

Summers @ Mizzou camp July 13-17

tiger paw print The Stress of Life    
How do you define stress?  Is it always a bad thing?  Are you interested in how humans and other animals experiences and handle stress from their environments?  If you like science and studying living things, this is a camp you will enjoy.  You'll have the opportunity to use Smartphone apps, simple devices and scientific instruments to collect data on yourself, farm animals and lab animals.  Using the data you collect, you'll learn to analyze and explain it and prepare presentations.  An understanding of these methods is essential for anyone who might want to be a doctor, veterinarian, biologist or almost any kind of scientist.  There is a competition for five scholarships to help students get started.  Contact Dr. Don Spiers, spiersd@missouri.edu for scholarship application information.

Are you an artist? Do you like to create? Explore living the life of an artist through this immersive studio experience in an atmosphere that allows ample time to create, as well as explore materials, techniques, art galleries, and museums with a focus on painting and drawing taught by MU professors:  Matt Ballou and Jessica Thornton.  Experience a supportive community of educators, professional artists and students who are passionate about art and will help to lead, inspire, and encourage you towards achieving your artistic goals.  Interested? Do you enjoy watching movies?  Would you like to move out of the audience and become part of the movie making process?  If so, this camp is for you!  You will get a chance to participate in all parts of the movie business from script writing to acting to filming to editing and everything in between.  All while learning from professionals currently working in the film industry.  Lights, Camera, Action!  See you there.

Do you want to start a micro-business, earn your own income, do something you love or take on a social cause to make a difference?  Get ready to start something of your own this summer as you explore the world of entrepreneurship!  At camp, you meet new friends, experience life on campus, team up with entrepreneurs, social media experts and business advisors whose aim is to help you succeed.  Gain confidence, connections and a course of action to make your mark on the world as a young entrepreneur!

Are you someone who knows exactly where the first aid kit is and how to use it? Do you like to help others? Are you interested in math and science? If you answered yes to any of these questions, this camp is for you! Spend time exploring different health careers through hands-on experiences, guest speakers and opportunities at the University Hospital. Learn what it takes to be a doctor, nurse, physical therapist, dentist, pharmacist and many other positions in the health field. Discover all the possibilities!

Do you like coding?  Are you interested in developing some cool Android applications that could make life easier?  Here you will learn basic programming to develop apps for the most popular mobile platform, Android.  We will develop a video streaming app in Android to stream videos from popular multimedia sites like YouTube, Vimeo etc. with real time network monitoring using web services.  Interested?  Come along and join us for a week where your smart keystrokes will create magic and make your cell-phone the smartest one around.

tiger paw print Meet the "Big Muddy"- MO River Academy    
Do you like water and wildlife?  We invite you to learn about the nation's longest river, the Missouri River.  Participants will learn about the ecology, history and biology of aquatic life in this large river ecosystem from experts in the field.  Learn how biologists study the fish that swim the muddy depths, how to analyze water quality as part of the Stream Team program, how scientists track migrating birds and how conservationists manage floodplains and wetlands.  If river conditions allow, participants will explore the Missouri River by boat, helping Missouri River Relief to clean up trash from the river banks and floodplains.  This program focuses on hands-on learning and field experiences.

Are you a friend of all animals you meet?  Do you enjoy science and solving mysteries?  A career in the veterinary science field may be in your future.  Come get a behind the scenes look at one of the top Colleges of Veterinary Medicine in the country.  You’ll get a chance to practice lab skills, operate on mock patients and observe veterinarians in practice with animals of all sizes.  These activities will give you a glimpse into the life of a veterinarian and allow you the chance to explore the many career options available.

Do you like maps? Are you interested in the latest geospatial technology such as GoogleEarth, GPS, GIS and Remote Sensing? Would you like to GeoCache or create “mashups” in GoogleEarth? At GeoTech, you will learn how to use these devices and spend time exploring a cave. We will collect and analyze geographic information and then use the geographic laboratory to plot your data on maps. Interested? Then grab a flashlight and show up at N38° 56' 4702122 W092° 19' 43.683 and be ready for fun and action.
