Residential fee
Includes housing (two youth per dorm room), all meals and snacks and great daytime and evening activities on and around campus. Commuter camp fees include daytime activities, lunch and snacks. Camps are open to all. Space is limited and camps will fill on a first-come, first served basis. We reserve the right to cancel camp and refund fees as necessary.

Health form
A health form must be submitted prior to camp.

Refund policy
Cancellation requests received by email at bishopta@missouri.edu prior to 5:00 p.m. CST, May 7, 2015 will be granted minus a 10% processing fee, otherwise full payment is expected.  Refund requests may take up to 4-6 weeks for processing. 

Scholarships
Fill out the application and return it with your registration and full payment.  If you are a recipient, the scholarship amount will be refunded to you following camp.

Summers @ Mizzou camp July 12-16

Do you like maps? Are you interested in the latest geospatial technology such as GoogleEarth, GPS, GIS and Remote Sensing? Would you like to GeoCache or create “mashups” in GoogleEarth? At GeoTech, you will learn how to use these devices and spend time exploring a cave. We will collect and analyze geographic information and then use the geographic laboratory to plot your data on maps. Interested? Then grab a flashlight and show up at N38° 56' 4702122 W092° 19' 43.683 and be ready for fun and action.

Are you an artist?  A scientist?  Are you interested in both science and the arts?  Then this camp is for you.  Discover the multidisciplinary world of art and science on the MU campus.  Explore a science lab and an art studio.  Experience an atmosphere that promotes creativity, imagination and innovation while exploring the arts as a way to understand the complexity of science.  Learn how to use visual images, storytelling, theatre and the performing arts to communicate the science story.  Learn theatre techniques that enhance your presentation skills when communicating scientific research.  Interact with MU faculty: Milbre Burch- focus on storytelling; Suzanne Burgoyne- focus on theatre; Lee Ann Woolery- focus on the visual language.  Work beside two world famous scientists where their recent discoveries will be revealed.  Interested?  Then sign-up now and join us for a fun-filled week.  Discover all MU offers creative students like you.

Do you enjoy watching movies?  Would you like to move out of the audience and become part of the movie making process?  If so, this camp is for you!  You will get a chance to participate in all parts of the movie business from script writing to acting to filming to editing and everything in between.  All while learning from professionals currently working in the film industry.  Lights, Camera, Action!  See you there.

Do you want to start a micro-business, earn your own income or take on a social cause to make a difference?  Build-a-Business Camp is where youth biz ideas become reality!  Get ready to start something of your own this summer as you explore the world of entrepreneurship, meet new friends, experience life on campus, team up with entrepreneurs, social media experts and business advisors who can help you succeed.  Gain confidence, connections and a course of action to make your mark as a young entrepreneur!

Are you someone who knows exactly where the first aid kit is and how to use it? Do you like to help others? Are you interested in math and science? If you answered yes to any of these questions, this camp is for you! Spend time exploring different health careers through hands-on experiences, guest speakers and opportunities at the University Hospital. Learn what it takes to be a doctor, nurse, physical therapist, dentist, pharmacist and many other positions in the health field. Discover all the possibilities!

Are you thinking about a career working in the great outdoors?  Are you interested in wildlife biology, ecology and history?  We invite you to learn about these fields in the context of our nation's longest river, the Missouri River.  You'll get the opportunity to assist with sampling macroinvertebrates, birds, turtles and fish in the Missouri River ecosystem.  Participants will learn how the data are used to teach us about the history, current and future conditions of this magnificent ecosystem.  If river conditions allow, participants will explore the Missouri River by boat and help Missouri River Relief clean up trash from the river banks and floodplains.  this program focuses on hands-on career and stewardship experiences.

Summers @ Mizzou camp July 19-23

tiger paw print Network Forensics for Hacker Trackers   
Do you like playing detective for investigating cyber attacks? Are you interested in learning tools and coding for detecting cyber attacks and developing cool visualizations to track cyber attacks? Here you will assume the role of expert witnesses by conducting a network forensics investigation to catch cyber-criminals who were attacking a “Good online gaming” company. You will learn coding with a database and analyze attacks with tools such as Wireshark and Snort. You will also collect evidence to demonstrate to the jury the geographical location of the “cyber-criminal mafia” and the extent of damage caused for compensation.

*Prior coding experience required.

Are you a friend of all animals you meet?  Do you enjoy science and solving mysteries?  A career in the veterinary science field may be in your future.  Come get a behind the scenes look at one of the top Colleges of Veterinary Medicine in the country.  You’ll get a chance to practice lab skills, operate on mock patients and observe veterinarians in practice with animals of all sizes.  These activities will give you a glimpse into the life of a veterinarian and allow you the chance to explore the many career options available
