COLUMBIA, Mo.– Allixandrea Johnson from Callaway County has been awarded the 2014 MFA Western Saddle.

Janice Spears, MFA feed products marketing manager, presented the saddle to Allixandrea on March 14 at the 4-H State Horse Judging Contest in Columbia.

Allixandrea has served as secretary and treasurer of the Hardin Hustlers 4-H Club and as captain of both her county’s Horse Bowl and hippology teams. “One of the greatest things I have learned is that I still have a lot to learn,” she wrote in her award application. “Even though I am a junior leader, the other members of the horse program have so much to teach me.”

For the past 24 years MFA Inc. has provided a free western saddle to a Missouri 4-H youth 14 or older.
