Opportunities Outside 4-H

  • Why Science Matters to Me Photo Caption Contest — Youth submit a photo showing how life science is behind the food they eat, benefits their health or helps their animals.  They write a caption telling us why science matters to them.  The contest opens Nov 1 with details available here:  Prizes range from a trip for three to the National Youth Summit on Agri-Science, in D.C. to gift cards.   
  • Applications Open for 2018 Pork Industry Scholarship.  Deadline December 15.
  • How Will Agriculture Feed the World?  2018 Ag Day Essay Contest Rules and Guidelines.  


  • Missouri 4-H is open for program enrollment for Program Year 2017-2018!  For more information on enrollment click here.  Enroll at

    • Missouri 4-H Legislative Academy—applications due by Dec 15.
